A Nigerain man who claims to be a lookalike of Afrobeats star Davido has stirred reactions online after alleging that a young girl believes he is her father.

In a video shared on social media, the man said the incident began during a night out at a club in Owerri.

He explained that the girl, identified only as Anu, mistook him for Davido due to his resemblance to the singer.

According to him, he tried to correct the misunderstanding but said the girl remained convinced and followed him to his hotel.

“Right from time, I’ve been Davido’s die-hard fan from Owerri,” he said. “I told her I’m not Davido, but she was so excited and followed me.”

The man later claimed that the situation escalated to the point where the girl now believes he is her father.

In a dramatic appeal, he said,

“Anu is my daughter, no be play. Davido, please forgive me,” insisting he never intended to deceive anyone.

The video has since gone viral, triggering mixed reactions online.

While some users expressed disbelief and concern, others responded with humour and criticism, questioning the credibility of the claim.

“ I am anu real father I have to confess it’s not davido, the baby mama thought it was davido because we look alike”
