A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after publicly accusing senior pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), including the General Overseer, Enoch Adeboye, of allegedly frustrating his life since 2023.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man claimed he had been a committed member of the church for years before things allegedly took a negative turn after he joined the workers’ unit in Ibadan.

According to him, he became a member of RCCG in 2013 while still in higher institution and remained actively involved in church activities despite allegedly noticing certain things he considered “not godly.”

In his words, he said:

“There has been an issue going on between me and RCCG since 2023. They told different kinds of lies and tried to manipulate people against me,” he said.

“I joined the church in 2013 while I was in school. Even though I saw some things that were not godly, I ignored them because they didn’t affect me then.”

The man further alleged that his problems within the church allegedly started after he became financially unstable and could no longer contribute financially as he used to.

According to him, one of the major incidents involved a wealthy church member who allegedly wanted to support him financially, but the opportunity was ruined after a pastor reportedly accused him of engaging in internet fraud and stealing.

“A rich man in the church wanted to help me, but the pastor allegedly told him I was into yahoo and stealing,” he claimed.

“Since then, I started facing issues in different Redeemed churches. I later realised they allegedly circulated my picture and tarnished my image everywhere,” he added.

His allegations have since generated mixed reactions online, with many social media users demanding evidence while others shared concerns over internal church-related disputes.

As of the time of filing this report, RCCG and Pastor Enoch Adeboye have not publicly responded to the allegations.
