Social media commentator, VeryDarkMan, has called out nightlife entrepreneur Cubana ChiefPriest over what he described as a contradiction in his political stance concerning the South East and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Reacting to the recent visit of the South East Cityboy Movement to Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, VeryDarkMan accused Cubana ChiefPriest of hypocrisy.

He recalled that Cubana ChiefPriest had earlier stated that the South East would never support President Tinubu in the 2027 election as long as the detained IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, remains in custody.

However, according to VeryDarkMan, the same Cubana ChiefPriest is now claiming he can mobilize and deliver the South East region for Tinubu in 2027, despite Nnamdi Kanu still being in detention.

“The same Cubana ChiefPriest who said the South East would never vote Tinubu in 2027 because Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is detained is now claiming he’ll deliver the region for Tinubu while Kanu is still in detention.

That’s hypocrisy,” VeryDarkMan said.

His remarks have triggered reactions online, with supporters and critics debating political loyalty, consistency, and the role of influencers in regional politics.

“The same Cubana ChiefPriest who said the South East would never vote Tinubu in 2027 because Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is detained is now claiming he’ll deliver the region for Tinubu while Kanu is still in detention. That’s hypøcrisy.”
