Nigeria’s House of Representatives urges every citizen to participate in the ongoing constitutional review process. The initiative is aimed at ensuring the new constitution reflects the true aspirations of Nigerians.


Rep. Kalu, speaking on behalf of the committee, stressed the need for transparency and accountability.

He encouraged citizens to share suggestions, opinions, and concerns, saying their input will help lawmakers craft a document that strengthens national unity and governance.


In an accompanying statement, the National Assembly highlighted that public engagement is vital.

They emphasized how this inclusive process can stabilize democratic institutions and address critical issues such as devolution of powers, judiciary reform, and civic rights.


The review process will involve town halls, online portals, and stakeholder consultations.

Representatives see this as a chance for citizens to voice what they want corrected or updated in the constitution, empowering the public to demand action.
