South Africa has strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrikes on Gaza, which have violated the two-month ceasefire agreement.

The attacks resulted in the deaths of over 350 Palestinians, including children, and targeted residential areas, makeshift schools, and shelters.

The South African leadership expressed severe worry about the humanitarian disaster in Gaza where millions struggle because of complete Israeli blockades which create severe essential supply shortages.

After Israel’s breakdown of implementing second phase peace accord negotiations the attacks began.

International humanitarian law received strong condemnation from South Africa because of these direct violations.

The government emphasized the necessity for international actions.

The government strongly criticized Israel for its military operations against southern Syria because these attacks harmed civilians while infringing upon Syrian national sovereignty boundaries.

The International Court of Justice mandated Israel to stop acts of genocide and to enable humanitarian aid distribution and to safeguard alleged war crime evidence.

The Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory at the United Nations declared the airstrikes as “unconscionable” while seeking immediate ceasefire restoration.

The international community needs to make Israel answer for its unlawful actions while demanding the permanent stoppage of hostilities according to South Africa.

The government maintains its support for peace and international compliance to defend civilians by stopping humanitarian crises in Gaza.
