The bank’s sponsorship of the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge National Event, held on April 22, 2025, at Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre, brought together innovative minds aged 13 to 19 from across Malawi.
The initiative belongs to the “Malawi Girls Can Code Too” project whose funding comes from the Embassy of Ireland and operates under UN Women Malawi leadership together with the Ministry of Education and Gender and iMoSyS and UNDP and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
The program teaches young individuals digital capabilities for solving climate issues by integrating robotics with artificial intelligence (AI).
The Malawian national competition finalists will compete to become representatives of Malawi at the Global Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Grand Finale which takes place in Geneva on July 8, 2025.
