The state-of-the-art National Security Digital Operations Hub, inaugurated by President Nana Akufo-Addo, represents a $50 million investment in next-generation security infrastructure.

The facility integrates advanced AI systems with real-time data analytics to enhance threat detection and emergency response across West Africa.

Equipped with facial recognition technology, predictive crime mapping algorithms, and cyberattack prevention systems.

The center will process over 10 million data points daily from surveillance cameras, drone networks, and digital platforms.

Security experts highlight the center’s regional importance, noting its capacity to share intelligence with neighboring countries combating terrorism and transnational crime.

“This AI hub positions Ghana as a leader in smart security solutions for Africa,” stated National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah during the launch ceremony.

The project forms part of Ghana’s broader digital transformation agenda, which includes plans to train 5,000 AI specialists by 2027

Private sector collaborators including Google Africa and local startups provided technical support for the initiative.
