The ADC (African Democratic Congress) has declared that struggling Nigerians are already opposed to the ruling APC and are leaning toward change ahead of the 2027 elections.

The party’s interim publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made this claim during a press briefing in Ilorin on July 16, 2025.

Abdullahi emphasized that “Any Nigerian who is suffering today knows that they don’t want APC anymore.”

He described ongoing hardships.

Hunger, high petrol prices, and rising hospital bills as proof that the APC no longer holds public favor.

He explained ADC’s mission: convincing voters that they offer a clear alternative.

“Our job is half done,” he stated, adding that the party must now persuade citizens it is different and capable of ending the current suffering

Abdullahi pointed to soaring costs such as increased fuel prices affecting petty traders.

He warned that the APC has weakened opposition parties, forcing respectable politicians to consolidate under ADC.

He insisted ADC’s priority is to eradicate hunger, slash fuel prices, and restore security—especially in places like Kwara State, now plagued by banditry

With Nigerians feeling the bite of economic hardship, ADC believes the groundwork is set. Now, they must convince voters that a real, effective alternative is within reach.
