The President appeared at the tenth anniversary celebration of ACE Africa Education Centres of Excellence in Accra.
He emphasized the significance of cooperative efforts between regional governments for climate change mitigation and public health maintenance and food security management.
The president said African success will be built through education development combined with innovation and joint research activities.
At the ACE Programme anniversary celebration the president commended its ability to establish solid academic collaboration platforms and encouraged African governments to increase their support.
He also declared that Africa must focus on three key elements for global competitiveness.
They include creation of knowledge, retention of talent, and academic resources sharing between institutions.
African universities and research centers partnering together will enable youth empowerment while creating jobs and sustaining scientific-enough development.
The former president ended his address by requesting African Union and other regional organizations to support reforms of educational policies and international academic partnerships.
According to him these measures remain essential for resolving Africa’s most urgent development challenges across a fast-changing global environment.
